The Empress has announced she will be serving as the Diet Member for The Imperial Palace, citing its internal staff and population makes it a small city, and believes in passing laws through democratic legislation and will of the people.

She will serving as a member of the Communist-Socialist Alliance, much to the shock of many. And showed up at her first meeting wearing stretch pants and a leopard print blouse and sunglasses.

She is proposing talks of national holidays being established more properly, with an expansion to Golden Week, Christmas to New Years, The August Revolution, and the Halloween season, with Halloween and All St's Day being cited as "The Day of Ascension" of the Goddess Abraxia.

She also showed up with the Imperial Consorts Umu and Shiyoko and the Emperor himself, to push the need for polyamory to be legalized, a point she's heavily pushing. Several Diet Members who have been replaced by their wives or female cousins in emergency election concluded the Empress is right, as the modern economy makes two parent households unstable and dangerous, and severely harmful to the raising of children.

Also she's started talks of examining people previously convicted of drug usage in the coming months since: Drug Reform.

And there is a growing but small rally to make her the new Prime Minister as she is a head of state, but some are complaining this is the complete subversion of democracy for the Empress to be both Head of State and Head of Government and Religious Scion by the growing Babel Vulgate faith.

Though several of her allies have pointed out democracy has led the government to trying to nuke the new Imperial Capital twice and the complete freezing of life quality.

She also questioned the need for Growth based Capitalism, citing the nation's alliance with powers from the 12 Dimension has functionally made the Empire a post-scarcity state LARPing as a neoliberal capitalist state, which shook the stock market.

In other news, Mrs. Shikou has been titled Governor of the Imperial Estate.

Like I trust the Empress as a person, but it feels like we're turning into a democracy in name only? But. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Mmm, personally, I've only been serving to benefit from the current arrangement-- especially considering she intended on me taking the position of Emperor instead, had Souha not been slightly older than me on record.

Her position of power keeps my family safe. I have no moral objections against polyamory being pressed, or things like drug reform. I don't even entirely mind the shift in operating systems or technology since, well. And I lived essentially in Domino for half of my life-- it's trading one dominating, surveillance factor (KaibaCorp) for another (a form of government that isn't going to try to purge me).

Well... Rapidly or otherwise, this is becoming a second coming of the "Age of Gods," in a sense.

Whether it's a good or a bad thing, I can't say. But keeping things stable and comfortable for the general populous is usually the priority despite that. Humans will persist even in the face of beings more powerful than them.

The implications of Democracy are that you can have a melting pot of viewpoints that allow for the highest quality of life, because even if I'm pretty sure the Empress' vision is at least achievable and will lead to a better quality of life...

The chilling effect of voices that might see something we won't isn't ideal.
